Annual report

2007 was a good year for Concentra, with an increased turnover and an increased margin for the media division. We further diversified our brand portfolio and are active in even more markets.

We increased our turnover by 4.8%. Our EBITDA increased from 20.3 million to 22.1 million. Profits within our core media activity ("Concentra Media") increased by 15%. Despite this, Concentra still has to report a slight fall in the net results, from 5.2 million Euros to 1 million Euros due to higher taxes.

All media activities have shown growth.

We achieved positive results with our newspapers, with our weekend magazine becoming the biggest newspaper supplement in Flanders. Het Belang van Limburg literally puts the newspaper and reader at the centre of each community and is the only popular newspaper in Flanders experiencing growth. The Gazet van Antwerpen has developed itself further into a modern newspaper for modern readers. We strengthened Concentra Media Regie and were soon reaping the rewards of this. The associations with other publishers in De Streekkrant/De Weekkrant, in De Zondag and also in Vacature were very successful.

Metro experienced a top year once again, now reaching more than 800,000 young, urban and active readers. Metro also released new free magazines.

Our classified ads are doing well. The internet platform and the property magazine Hebbes, is now published across the whole of Flanders. We have taken over Koopjeskrant and are busy working out a new business model for it. We are also active on the Walloon market.
We achieved good results with our audio-visual activities.

The regional TV stations ATV, TV Limburg and TV Oost have continued along the successful path of the previous years. Radio Nostalgie has been available in the whole of Flanders for a few days now. This is a joint venture with Corelio, the basis of which we established in 2007.

Ambiance, our niche culinary magazine has experienced much appreciated growth.

We will be investing heavily in digital media in 2008 and hope to be able to present the first results of this next year.

Our industrial division, Concentra Grafic, experienced an increased turnover of +6%. The structurally lower margins have shrunk further, which means that we have not been able to achieve our goal in terms of cash flow.

2007 was a good year for Concentra, under the impulse of our management team and a fantastic team of employees.
