Free Press activities cluster
The model for free newspapers and magazines, for which income comes entirely from the advertising market, has developed into an important business model within a very short space of time.
Metro
Metro (click here) is the newspaper for young, urban and highly educated people. The free Metro newspaper is published by Mass Transit Media, a joint venture with Rossel & Cie (49%). Fifty employees produce the newspaper, handle the distribution, marketing and advertising from the renovated Ravenstein gallery in the heart of Brussels every (working) day. Supporting services such as HR, ICT, finance and controlling are provided by the parent companies.

De Zondag / De Streekkrant / De Weekkrant
De Zondag and De Streekkrant/De Weekkrant are published by DSDW, a joint venture with Roularta. Operational leadership remains with the majority shareholder, Roularta (80%). The Limburg and Antwerp editions of De Zondag are put together in collaboration with the editorial staff from Het Belang van Limburg and Gazet Van Antwerpen. This means that the Limburg and Antwerp communities never have to go a day without their news. Concentra also plays an important role in the printing of De Zondag and De Streekkrant/De Weekkrant.
Jet Magazine
Concentra also publishes the fortnightly four colour Jet Magazine (click here) in Limburg and Antwerp. The product management for Jet Magazine is taken care of by Concentra Media Regie, the advertising sales organisation for the Concentra group.
